A big fair known as Bara Mangal fair (May -June) is held here on a grand Scale.

There are two highly revered Lord Hanuman temples in Aliganj, one built in 1783 and the other built in 1798 by Chhatar Kunwar, the queen mother of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan.
